At Ability Hive, we want you to feel confident and supported with every purchase. If you have concerns about your order or need to request a return, we’re here to help. Please review the return and refund details below.
60-Day Returns (Most Items)
Most items can be returned for a full refund within 60 days of delivery, as long as they:
- Are unused
- Include all original packaging
- Are not excluded items (see below)

Non-Returnable Items (For Safety & Sanitary Reasons)
For health, hygienic, and product integrity reasons, the following items cannot be returned once opened:
Final Sale if Opened
- Chewelry (necklaces, bracelets, handheld chews, etc.)
- Oral motor / oral therapy tools (ARK Grabbers, Z-Vibe tools & tips, cups, straws, etc.)
- Weighted blankets
- Weighted lap pads
- Weighted vests
- Fidgets (due to wear, stress, and compression from handling)
Unopened items from the above categories are eligible for return within our standard 60-day window.
Special Order Items
Some items (marked as Special Order on the product page) are specially ordered due to their size, bulk, or customization, and may be shipped directly from the manufacturer. These items follow a different return policy.
Unopened / Unused Special Order Items
- Eligible for return within 30 days of delivery
- Must include all original packaging
- No restocking fee applies
- A 3% processing fee will be deducted from the refund to cover processing costs
- Customer is responsible for return shipping on special order items
- Opened / Used Special Order Items not eligible for return
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs may vary based on the item type.
- For standard returns, Ability Hive will provide return instructions and cover return shipping (Canadian customers only)
- For special order items or items that fall outside standard return criteria, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees
Any applicable fees will be clearly communicated before the return is processed.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If any item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us immediately with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue
We will repair, replace, or refund the item as appropriate.
Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Store credit (if applicable) will be issued as an Ability Hive digital gift card or applied to your account
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider
