About Ability Hive
What is Ability Hive?
Ability Hive is a Canadian-based e-commerce business that provides high-quality sensory tools, oral motor therapy products, calming aids, and developmental supports for children and adults with autism, ADHD, and other sensory needs and disabilities.
Where is Ability Hive located?
We are located in Embrun, Ontario — just outside of Ottawa. All products ship from our Canadian location.
Why was Ability Hive created?
Ability Hive was founded by parents of a non-verbal autistic child who wanted to offer trusted, therapeutic products more accessible to families and professionals across Canada and North America. Read our story here.
Do you support any causes?
Yes! We donate 2% of all sales to initiatives and organizations that serve and support the neurodivergent & disability communities. You can learn all about our donation program here.
Working with Schools, Clinics & Service Providers
Do you work with schools, clinics, and organizations?
Yes — this is a core part of our business. We proudly supply public and private schools, occupational therapy and speech-language clinics, libraries, therapy centres, hospitals, libraries, mental health providers community-based programs, and other organizations with sensory tools and therapeutic products.
Do you offer purchase orders (POs)?
Absolutely. We accept official purchase orders from organizations, including schools and healthcare providers. You can find out full information regarding setting up an account here.
Can you assist with product recommendations for programs or classrooms?
Yes! We can help you build a custom list of tools tailored to your needs — whether you're setting up a regulation station, calm corner, sensory cart, or outfitting a therapy space. Contact us here.
Do you help with creating or consulting on Sensory Rooms?
Yes — Ability Hive offers consulting and product support for Sensory Rooms and regulation spaces in schools, clinics, libraries, early intervention centres, and other organizations. Whether you're building a room from the ground up or enhancing an existing space, we can help recommend evidence-based tools tailored to your population’s needs, age group, and sensory profiles. Orders, Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship to?
We ship across Canada, the United States and also overseas. Orders are fulfilled from Ontario.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship within 1 business day. Transit times depend on your shipping location and the method selected at checkout. All orders include tracking.
What are your shipping rates?
We offer discounted flat rate shipping rates as well as calculated carrier rates to give our customers the most flexibility. We also offer free shipping on orders of $150+ (Before tax, Canada & U.S. only).
Do you offer local delivery or pickup?
Yes — we offer local delivery on orders of $40+ in Embrun and Russell, ON. You will see local delivery options at the checkout.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
No need to stress, we've got your back! If our products don't meet your expectations, you've got 60 days to send them back for a full refund. We even cover return shipping!

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
